Imagination and Our Lives. . .

Imagination, that is the ability to mentally visualize images and create things that are
unique and have value in society, underlies our concept of reality.  It is illustrated
through  the dreams of individuals.  our imagination is the basis of learning everything about our reality
Only through the development of our imagination, which is accessible in childhood, can we
teach and learn to visualize a better future for our troubled world.  By imagining the reality
of others, and learning respect for the cultures and the natural world, can a child
reach his or her true potential and work together with others to improve our world.  Another way we
can look at how the imagination and stories are out together is in the short story “handsomest drowned

man” in this story the women potray the young man as a god. And he has washed on the shore of there

small island.  When everyone first layed eyes on him they thought that one of theres nhad died but no

one was as tall as he was and no one was as beautiful as this young man was. All the women in the

neigborhood cleaned him up and made sure to lavish him in all of the little trinkets and good luck charms

so if he ever came back he would always be welcomed with open arms.  Now if that wouldve have

happened today no one would have cleaned him up they would have just pushed him back in the water.

This has lead to certain meanings in our lives by giving us a different scenario that we have already scene

acknowledged it wouldn't be a challenge for us knowing that we already made it through.
